Yes, power surges are covered from day one. Electronics do need to be connected to a surge protector to be covered. Direct lighting strikes are not considered power surges, and are excluded from coverage.

What Is Accidental Damage From Handling?

Accidental impacts, drops, bumps and liquid spills (for covered products, if an accidental damage plan is purchased).

What products qualify for Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH)?

Laptops, tablets and cameras (accidental damage plans only)

What Is The Limit Of Liability?

The original product retail price, before tax, less any paid claims.

For items above $500, the repair service plan will help keep your gear running for years to come. Choose from the two, three, or five-year repair plans to keep your electronics gear smoothly chugging along. With 24/7/365 troubleshooting, the support team of these Service Plans can walk you through help you determine what can be done to fix your product, and if the phone-based or online support isn’t able to help walk you through a fix, you have plenty of next steps to get your gear back to running smoothly.
